1. Who you are dealing with
The service is provided by [Operator legal name], [Registered postal address] (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [privacy@aislopdetected.com].
2. Acceptance
By installing the extension, using the website or calling the API you agree to these terms, the Community Rules and the Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement where you live. The service is a beta and may not be available, or lawful to use, in every country; you are responsible for checking.
4. What the service is, and is not
AI Slop Detected lets people submit and view opinions about the perceived quality of public web content and shows thresholded, content-level aggregates called Community Slop Scores. A score is an opinion signal from self-selected participants. It does not verify or assert AI use, authorship, identity, ownership, truth, safety, legality or compliance with any platform’s rules, and it must not be presented as if it did. Do not rely on the service for decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, education, legal rights or any other matter with significant effects on a person.
5. No accounts; your installation
There are no user accounts. Each installation of the extension receives a pseudonymous credential that links its votes so they can be changed or deleted. You are responsible for the device and browser profile on which the extension is installed and for anything done with that credential.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Community Rules. In particular, you must not:
- automate, buy, sell, trade or coordinate ratings, or create multiple installations to multiply your vote;
- use the service to target, harass, defame or discriminate against any person or group;
- submit private, credential-bearing or unlawful URLs, or any personal data about others;
- circumvent rate limits, moderation or security measures, or probe, scan, overload or disrupt the service;
- present a score as a factual finding about AI use, truth, plagiarism, illegality or a platform violation;
- scrape or bulk-collect scores, or use the API other than through the extension and website;
- use the service in breach of any law or third-party right.
7. Your submissions
You keep whatever rights you have in the information you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, aggregate and display votes, fixed reasons, review requests and related metadata for the purpose of operating, securing, moderating and improving the service and showing aggregate content-level results. Only submit information you have the right to provide.
8. Our content
The service, including its name, logo, design, text and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the extension and website as intended. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or create derivative works from them, or reverse-engineer them except where the law allows, without our written permission.
9. Third-party content
Rated pages and videos belong to third parties. We do not host, fetch, endorse or take responsibility for them. Links on score pages are provided for convenience only, with no-follow and no-referrer attributes.
10. Moderation and enforcement
We may delay, downweight, quarantine, freeze, hide, correct or remove content identities and aggregates, reject or remove submissions, and suspend or revoke installation credentials, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms, the Community Rules or the law have been breached or the integrity of the service is at risk. We keep a limited audit record of such actions. A review process is available without an account through Request a review. No decision guarantees that copies or references elsewhere disappear.
11. Beta status, availability and changes
The service is provided as a beta. We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of it at any time. We may also change these terms; material changes will be dated here and, where they affect the extension, surfaced in it. Continued use after a change means you accept it. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, or that any score is complete, representative or current.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Aggregates reflect the opinions of self-selected participants and may be wrong, incomplete or manipulated despite our controls.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or reputation, arising from or relating to the service, however caused; and (b) our total liability for all claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period (currently nothing) and USD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will compensate us for third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or the Community Rules, or from your misuse of the service.
15. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time; use the extension’s deletion control if you want your server-side contributions removed before uninstalling. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 10. Sections 4, 7 to 9 and 12 to 17 survive termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by [Governing law, for example the laws of India]. Disputes will be brought exclusively in [Courts with exclusive jurisdiction, for example the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India], except that where the law of the country in which you live gives you the right to rely on its mandatory consumer-protection rules or courts, nothing here takes that right away. Before starting a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
17. General
These terms, the Community Rules and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor operator with notice on this page.
18. Contact
